Atlas Copco to acquire Wangen Pumpen

Atlas Copco has agreed to amass the German industrial pump producer Pumpenfabrik Wangen GmbH from private fairness firm Silverfleet Capital.

Headquartered in Wangen in the Allgäu area of Germany, Pumpenfabrik Wangen specialises in progressive cavity pumps used primarily in the biogas and wastewater sectors, and twin-screw pumps for meals and beverage and cosmetics applications.
Pumpenfabrik Wangen has manufacturing services in Germany, a US subsidiary and a global gross sales and service footprint. The company employs 265 people and had 2020 revenues of approximately €46.four million.
“Industrial pumps is a section that we have identified as a strategic match for Atlas Copco and Wangen Pumpen has main differentiated know-how with a robust aftermarket business,” mentioned Andrew Walker, president of Atlas Copco’s Power Technique business area. “ Incredibly is a robust model and is thought for quality in demanding industrial purposes. This acquisition will create a solid foundation for further progress in new industrial pump segments.”
The acquired enterprise will become a part of the Power and Flow division within Atlas Copco’s Power Technique Business Area.
The deal is predicted to be completed through the second quarter of 2022 and is subject to regulatory approvals.
